Mobile Architect Location: McLean, VA Duration: 10-11 months Description: - Client is currently seeking Mobile Architect to be part of its Mobile Development Group and help Client achieve industry leadership in its Mobile Offerings. - Client is recruiting talented thinkers and software engineers who can envision next-generation mobile innovations that will deliver a rich, engaging, and unmatched customer experience. - This position will work in the fast-paced mobile development group to design and develop cutting-edge mobile experiences for Client customers. - The candidate will be highly involved in the ideation and brainstorming of new applications and will work quickly and efficiently to produce innovative and relevant designs to showcase Client. - Lead Technical Design and development of Mobile applications for multiple devices. - Implement multi device application features as part of Agile Development process. - Capable of working with Product Development team for rapid prototyping and interface designing. - Be able to mentor and lead junior Mobile Developers. Required Skills: Successful candidates will have expertise in the following skillsets: - Deep understanding of different Mobile Development Paradigms including Native, Hybrid and Mobile Web. - Extensive experience designing and developing Mobile Applications using Native and Web Technologies. - Strong hands on experience with either Android or iOS. - Experience with following: Spring, Hibernate, Java, J2EE, JUnit, Tomcat, JBoss, Ant, HTML5, CSS, JQuery, JSP. - Strong hands on experience in HTML5, JavaScript, Jquery and other Mobile Web technologies. - Experience creating and consuming SOAP based or JSON/REST web services and communicating with systems. - Experience working with a source control like ClearCase. - Familiar with Agile methodologies, like Scrum. - Understanding and appreciation for Agile development methodologies. - Passion for software development and OO Design. - 3+ years experience designing and developing Mobile Applications using Native and Web Technologies. - 5+ years Java experience designing and developing enterprise applications. - 3+ years experience in HTML5, JavaScript, Jquery and other Mobile Web technologies. - Previous Mobile development experience in a professional environment is preferred. - Experience with multiple mobile platforms is highly preferred.
