Infrastructure Service Support Manager
The Infrastructure Service Support Manager is accountable for Change Management, Incident and Problem management reporting and analysis; the creation and maintenance of Service Level Agreements; management communication and client relationship management with assigned application areas and/or coordination of multiple staff involved in internal / external customer file transmission implementations. This person will be responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members as well as overall team management responsibilities. Functional knowledge of the application(s) supported and interdependencies is expected. This individual may lead several teams that may cross project boundaries; but typically will be responsible for deliverables and projects. Specific Functions: * Be involved in day-to-day administration and monitoring of Wintel / ESX Systems on medium to large Enterprise-scale Servers * Analyze, resolve, and fix system issues related to OS * Be responsible for troubleshooting, performance monitoring / tuning, and capacity planning * Be responsible for installation and/or updates to existing and/or new environments in support of critical business projects This is a Kforce opportunity for an Infrastructure Service Support Manager with a Pleasanton, California client. The successful Support Management applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Must have 5+ years of hands-on Solaris Wintel 2000 / 2003 and ESX Operating System experience in a medium to large company with good knowledge of Wintel internals * Good knowledge of VMware is required * Good knowledge of packaged applications COM+ is required * Good knowledge of packaged applications IIS / .NET is required * Good knowledge of packaged applications Citrix MetaFrame is required * Ability to troubleshoot problems * Performance tuning experience * Be able to analyze performance statistics * Hands-on experience with SSL Certificates; troubleshooting of SSL related problems; and good knowledge of how SSL works is essential * Perl / ksh scripting experience is required * The ability of communicate with the clients is imperative * Good knowledge of networking (TCP/IP) and web (http / https) protocols is required * Must be able to perform weekend work to system maintenance * The position requires the Support Manager to carry a pager 24/7 when on-call * A College or Graduate Degree is preferable
