Senior Enterprise Architect
TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect for one of our clients in Lanham, MD. Contract Duration: 12 Months Description: We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the Enterprise Architecture (EA) business architecture team. . The candidate must have extensive experience in working with business stakeholders to identify business needs and mapping them into EA solutions. The position will be responsible for analyzing and documenting business processes, scenarios and information flows. This information will be used to continuously mature the EA through continuous modification to reflect the agency’s current baseline and target business practices, organizational goals, visions, technology and infrastructure. This candidate must have at least 8 years of experience in leading EA efforts in a federal civilian agency using FEAF (Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework) components. This candidate must demonstrate experience and knowledge in transforming federal government agencies using EA as a driver. Experience must include identifying and characterizing the as-is IT environment; and developing the target business, data, application, and technology views, transition plan, and providing program management support for the EA Program Management Office (PMO). Day-to-day activities include: Supporting development and maintenance of EA artifacts Implementing new data sources into existing EA data stores Perform detailed analysis of EA data and artifacts as well as, industry and EA trends to recommend evolutionary changes to Target architectures, reference models and transition plans. Develop and maintain portfolio/segment architectures including participation in selected portfolio teams as an embedded enterprise architect Review and assess governance and acquisition artifacts for compliance with the department/agency EA Support / assist in responses and reporting to OMB, GAO and other internal and external entities Facilitate engagements with business and technical subject matter experts to prepare EA analyses. This will require translating technical prose, inventories, diagrams, and briefs into implementable EA representations. May serve as a contractor task order project manager Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems (or related field) and 8+ years of experience or 12 years of experience in lieu of degree. Required Skills: Strong analytic and problem solving skills. Strong written, verbal and presentation skills. These are critical as briefings and interactions with senior executives are common. Advanced proficiency using FEAF and Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM). Current experience in EA analysis and proven “hands-on” experience developing the relationship mappings and associated EA artifacts including authoring or providing significant contributions to preparation of current and target architectures, reference models, affinity analysis/mapping, heat maps, and transition plans / blueprints / roadmaps. Experience in interpreting OMB, GAO, and agency directives and instructions and providing guidance and assistance in completing compliance requirements. Excellent customer relationship skills as some work will be performed at the client site with senior executive interaction. Clearance Requirement: Must be able to pass an MBI (minimum background investigation). Desired Skills: Active Secret security clearance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional, Microsoft Visio and Project (2-3 years working experience). 2-3 Years technical/professional writing and editing. Familiarity with the annual Federal budget process, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) and the planning, programming, budget and execution (PPBE) budget model.
