Scanning Software
I want to create a software that will scan facebook and look for likes when someone posts a comment or picture or video. Since the status update quickly fades over a short amount of time, this software would probably need to do a screen capture showing the item that's being liked and perhpas the url (in case you want to re-look at it if it's still there). Also, it should have config parameters where you could tell it what to look for (ie. pictures, text, video) and screen capture it if it has at least "x" amount of likes and/or comments. Plus, I should be able to tell it to look for fan pages vs. personal pages (if that's possible), to only look on pages with "x" amount of friends or likes. So for example, I may want it to find a fan page with at least 1000 likes, look for pictures that have at least 20 likes. Then it finds that item and makes a screen shot of it. If possible, I'd rather have the software grab just the picture and the original text in the update. Then when I scroll through and look at the info the software grabbed from FB, I see just the picture and the text that was posted about the picture by the person or business who posted it. If that's not possible, then the software would take a screen shot of the the picture and the text. It would need to do this for pictures, videos, & text. For example, say you want it to find status updates with videos and there has to be at least 20 likes for that status update before it screen captures it and saves it for you to look at. Then I need it to save the screen captures in a file somehow so I can view what the item is about. The screen captures need to be easy to look though. I'm visioning clicking on the file it saves it to and being able to scroll through the screen shots and easily see them. Plus, if it's a video the software captures, then it would get the url to the video if assuming it's available.
