Job Description: The ideal candidate will be part of a highly leveraged global network security team and must have a strong technical foundation in networking and network security, defense in depth. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with global partners. Finally, the candidate must be able to handle multiple client facing projects. Required technical qualifications of 3 to 5 years of one or more of the following: - Cisco ASA, FWSM, Juniper, Checkpoint Firewalls or Open Source - Network load balancing (3DNS, BIG IP, GTM, LTM) - Web Proxy (BlueCoat or IronPort) - IP network and routing along with packet analysis - IDS/IPS, HTTP, TCP, DNS - Defense in depth security - Vulnerability management and remediation - Wireless network security Required functional skills: - Ability to work independently as well as with a team - Excellent analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills - Risk vs. reward analysis Certifications: CISSP and/or CCNA preferred but will consider candidates with relevant experience Synectics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
