Teksystems has a client in Columbia, SC that is looking to add a Computer Operator to their team. The position is slated as a 6 month contract to hire. This person will monitor and report system outages according to standard operation procedures. Included is monitoring backup jobs and event logs and assignments may require the candidate to select from a variety of operating procedures. The client is looking for a candidate with at least 3+ years of experience in the IT field. Minimal troubleshooting of WIN 2003 Server, Active Directory, and desktop related issues will be required. For issues that this person will be unable to resolve, there are detailed instructions for escalation. A Secret Clearance is required for the position.
