IT Asset Management Analyst
Our customer is seeking an IT Asset Management Analyst. Responsibilities: Interface with projects and operational groups to determine IT Asset Management requirements and implement those requirements into the Unicenter Asset Portfolio Manager (UAPM) application Provide system administration function to maintain the Unicenter Asset Portfolio Management (UAPM) environment and usage of discovery tools Maintain an identification scheme for UAPM libraries & fields Provide and maintain system access based on role assignment Troubleshoot problems with the system Assist in conducting audits Responsible for asset data imports and table correlations in the UAPM tool Manage and maintain system integrations and connectors Responsible for creating and generating UAPM reports Responsible for UAPM operational availability, capacity planning and monitoring Establish and maintain federated relationships with other management databases for access to UAPM data Work with Asset Manager & Process Owner to recommend tool enhancements and federation opportunities Provide day-today application administration, patching and troubleshooting Design and implement relationship mapping of various asset information (e.g. contracts to hardware and software assets) Populate the UAPM with descriptions of the attributes and relationships of the Asset items Functions as a technical resource to project requests where UAPM forms an element of the project Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience Directly related experience in computer and communications technology. Specific technical experience should include experience with computing hardware, system software system administration tools and monitors, reflecting an area of specialization that includes one or more of the following: Distributed Computing; Telecommunications, including LAN/WAN (routers, switching, hubs, etc.), or Transmission (Microwave, mobile radio, circuit/trunking, copper cable plant, site management, etc.), or Voice Processing (PBX, ACD, voice-mail, IVR, trunking, LCR, etc.); Middleware; and Enterprise Server Technology Fundamental knowledge of IT production systems, and applications Intermediate skill level with SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and XM Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor under stressful or difficult circumstances ITIL v3 a plus An understanding of SQL and XML is a requirement An understanding of the ITIL Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) process is a plus About SkillStorm: SkillStorm is the nation's fastest-growing I.T.
