The Programmer Analyst III position is located in Detroit, Michigan. This position analyzes, codes, tests and documents moderately complex applications programs from detailed specifications. This person will assist with preparing specifications from which programs will be written, provide support for COTS application solutions, and develop interfaces between various COTS applications. Specific Requirements (required unless noted otherwise): * Associate's degree in a related field * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred * Working knowledge of 2 (preferred) programming languages, report production, and database structures * Working knowledge of software and hardware tools supporting primary system operations * Knowledge of systems development, hardware/software and project methodology * Effective customer service * Effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to provide clear explanations of problems and resolutions; communication skills will be critical for this position as all of the business customers are located in other office locations around the world * General business knowledge and knowledge of financial services theory and terminology * Effective problem solving skills * Attention to detail, organization, and timeliness in order to meet customer service expectations * Develops basic project management skills sufficient to manage projects with a team size of 1 or 2 members * Basic PC skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and e-mail
