Business Systems Analyst (12-15704) Pyramid Consulting has an IMMEDIATE need for a Business Systems Analyst with our direct client, A Global Telecommunications Firm. This position is based in Bothell, WA / Redmond, WA. Client will consider all candidates who are authorized to work in US. Out-of-town candidates will be considered for this position" What you will do: You will be developing system requirements and documentation for new tool requests or enhancements. Location: Bothell, WA / Redmond, WA Expected Duration: 6 Months With a possibility of extension Key responsibilities include :- • Leading and facilitating meetings, providing meeting minutes, updating trackers and action items as necessary. • Coordinating with vendors to ensure they receive all necessary information to support work efforts. • Developing system requirements and documentation for new tool requests or enhancements. • Developing software products for business utilization. • Responsible for trouble shooting and cross-functional coordination of teams to resolve identified issues. • Facilitating or assisting with data audits, cleanup efforts and miscellaneous investigations to validate data accuracy. • Developing new concepts, methods and techniques to support business requirements. • Interfacing with IT resources to ensure system lifecycle management including enhancements, upgrades etc. • Key skills include: SQL, Business Objects, VBA, Perl, Oracle, UNIX, Java and Excel mastery. Additional responsibilities :- Also responsible for database reliability, recoverability, performance, and the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of database software. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for providing operational database support for software levels and versions, on many different operating system platforms for applications of differing complexities, degree of standardization, practices, and usage of third party software. The operational database support responsibilities include those related to availability, performance, currency, integrity, security, and confidentiality of the database instances, database backups and recoveries, database disaster recovery, database growth and disk space utilization, database problem analysis and resolution, configuration files, operating system account and system level schemas, tablespaces, database patches, database upgrades, database compatibilities, database bugs and workarounds, database vendor support process, database documentation, new database release features and enhancement, applications consultation, SQL tuning and object management, automation, and project implementation activities, such as physical design and installation of database environments and databases. Qualifications : * Excel * Business Objects •Proficient in Script and Query development -Shell scripting (SQL (T-SQL, PL-SQL), SQL server, etc.) •3+ years experience in wireless communication - Preferred •3+ Server and System Administration experience - Preferred DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: •Database development position (or similar) experience preferred *Proficient in System Support and Trouble Analysis •Expert in Change Management Life Cycle Principles •Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math or equivalent experience.
