Senior UNIX Administrator (Datacenter Environment) (12-15642) Pyramid Consulting has an IMMEDIATE need for a Unix System Administrator in a Data Center Environment with our direct client, A Global Telecommunications Firm. This position is based in Redmond, WA. Client will consider all candidates who are authorized to work in US. Out-of-town candidates will be considered for this position. What you will do: You will be responsible to include system builds (jumpstart/kickstart), network configuration, Volume Manager & File-system configuration, SAN masking and zoning, NetBackup client installation and configuration, serial console configuration (using Cyclades console servers), Operating system patches, and other general systems administration task as needed. Location: Redmond, WA Expected Duration: 12 Months Contract to hire Details :- The successful candidate will have skills in shell scripting, knowledge in SAN administration including EMC (DMX, VMAX, & VNX) as well as storage networking with Cisco MDS series of SAN switches, as well as a through knowledge of hardware platforms including SPARC,& x86 (Cisco UCS platform would be a plus). Skills :- 4+ Years UNIX System Administration (Solaris, Linux) EMC Storage Administration Storage Networking (Cisco MDS) Symantec Storage Foundation (VxVM, VxFS, VCS) Shell Scripting Jumpstart/Kickstart DNS Mail The following background/knowledge would be a plus :- NetApp DataDomain PowerPath ZFS Cyclades Serial Console Position requires at least 4 years of System Administration background in a large datacenter environment. Preferred: BS in Computer Science or other technical field, Programming experience.
