TEKsystems is building a team of Quality Assurance Testers in support of Veterans Affairs. Duties: - Work closely with analysts, software developers, and other Scrum team members in all phases of the software development life cycle. - Analyze, review, and validate requirement documents, design documents, and other artifacts. - Analyze, document, and report quality metrics. - Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and manual and automated test scripts. - Recommend improvements for Software QA and SDLC processes and procedures. - Perform additional tasks assigned by the IV&V project manager. Required Education and Skills: - Able to present an overview in a blurb concerning his/ her automated testing planning and execution to include tools. - Must have Rational Tool experience and present the experience in a blurb. - Manage and maintain complex automated test suite using Rational Test Suite. - Need automated testing experience using the Rational Functional Tester (RFT) system.. - Experience with HP Quality Center. - Java/ J2EE environment experience. - Strong logical-thinking and problem-solving skills. - Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to perform technical document reviews. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with minimal supervision. - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders both verbally and in writing. - Thorough understanding of software test strategies, test case design, and defect tracking. - Experience working within the framework of formal SDLC methodologies. - Experience in Scrum development environment. - Must have experience within the VA the last 5 years/ - Must have a VA MBI.
