Vaco has an immediate consulting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst in the Raleigh, NC area. The Senior Systems Analyst is a technical problem solver with strong analytical skills, has an understanding of the financial services industry, and the ability to work in a team environment as well and individually. They work independently with minimal direction on medium projects and partners on larger initiatives. This position requires a proactive, detail oriented team player who has an understanding of how systems applications can provide solutions to business problems and objectives. Also, makes design recommendations and takes the lead in documenting systems requirements/specifications. Primary Responsibilities Interviews business partners to understand project objectives, use cases and requirements, defines project scope, and recommends solutions to project issues. · Gains a solid functional understanding of the existing application(s) as well as the newly defined project requirements for small to medium sized projects. Evaluates design of existing systems to judge their functionality, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage , maintainability and cost of ownership · Manages multiple priorities · Uses influential skills to collaborate with business partners · Fosters teamwork and spirit of collaboration and commitment within the project team Contributes to team project planning and to on-time and on-budget project goals Create and maintain the SDS (System design specification) documentation throughout the development lifecycle(independently or as part of a team) Create and maintain the DIT (development integrated) Test Plan, working with developers on execution.
