Contract position for a Java / J2EE Developer. Full life-cycle activities requiring end-to-end Java/J2EE technologies, WebSphere, DB2 and SQL. Must have experience writing code to export data in MS Excel and PDF formats. The Java/J2ee Developer will: * Work with the architect and technical leader on design and development. * Perform code review and unit, integration and performance testing. * Document system design, write code and mentor other resources. REQUIREMENTS - Java/J2EE Developer: 7 years of strong hands-on experience with latest Java/J2EE web technologies. Strong experience working with RDBMS (DB2) and writing / tuning SQLs. Extensive experience with web-based application development using Java, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, JSTL, JDBC, JMS, Log4J and Apache Commons. Experience developing Restful / SOAP / JAX-WS WebServices. Experience with Java Open-Source technologies including AJAX, Spring Framework, Ant, Struts 2, DOJO, XML parser technology and JUnit. Strong, hands-on UML. Excellent object oriented analysis and design patterns / techniques with emphasis on Java/J2EE technology. Excellent application performance tuning skills.
