Data Mining and Reporting Expert – Chicago, IL CARA’s customer, located in Chicago (O’Hare area), is seeking a Data Mining and Reporting Expert for a long-term project. The Consultant will be assisting on a high-profile enterprise-wide systems implementation. The consultant will be working with the learning team in gathering and extracting data/reports for the learning initiative. Consultant must be able to work onsite.   Key Skills: ·       Advance reporting skills using Excel and Access (not just vlookup and pivot tables) ·       Building queries that joins multiple tables from multiple data sources ·       Editing existing queries to meet changing business needs ·       Experience manipulating large amounts of data ·       Experience designing and developing Access databases ·       Database design and creation ·       Data mining experience ·       Creating macros ·       Dashboard design ·       Consultant will need to be able to provide samples of their reporting work and their experience level in Access and Excel.   The Consultant will be pulling together information from the LMS, survey tools, data base copies, SAP extracts, and potentially other data sources and compiling it into reports that show: •           Enrollment progress •           Enrollment status •           Completion status •           Scores •           Training evaluation (ILT and WBT) •           Program/Executive level Summaries   This data would be filtered org, role, and summaries by audience.  The training is role specific, and although there are similarities, the differences will have to be accounted for as well.  This is a large data manipulation effort.   Additional Skills desired (but not required): Experience working in an LMS Experience and understanding of functionality and capability of the tool – (screens, reporting tools, how to enter information, etc.) is required Understands staging, production, etc Created and configured ILT in the LMS (eLearning course configuration and uploading is a plus) Pull variety of reports from the LMS and make them readable Able to identify trends in the reports to provide information to leadership on frequency of courses run, attendance information Enroll participants in LMS for training courses Potentially add course descriptions (cut, paste) into LMS   CARA® is a human performance consulting firm specializing in Custom Learning, Change Management and Technical Communication services for Fortune 500 organizations.
