Job Description- Front-End Java Developer This talented resource will develop Java-based web applications as a part of a development team (10-15 members) for a growing e-commerce site. The applications are built on Spring/Hibernate stack, deployed on Apache Tomcat application server, fronted by Apache, running on Linux and FreeBSD. The development team uses an Agile development methodology which requires close collaboration among developers, QA team, and occasionally the business owners. This person will primarily be helping define and maintain a solid front-end web application and should have a solid understanding of front-end design using HTML5 and CSS3 as well as have an understanding of the HTTP request/response cycle. This position will primarily be focused on front-end web application development, but there will be opportunities to branch out into full-stack and back-end development.
