Payroll Specialist
Job Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but may not be limited to the following. Process payroll timely and with accuracy. Perform payroll audits on all payrolls. Maintain child supports, garnishments, and tax levies as required in the system. Maintain a base of payroll clients relevant to size and complexity. Contact clients daily to obtain payroll data including salary adjustments, special payments, employee deductions and to set/confirm schedules. Maintain client files to ensure employee paperwork is completed accurately and timely. Research and resolve client questions and/or issues. Maintain payroll log through PLD. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with clients and co-workers. Organize workstation to ensure paper and electronic documents and files are organized as required. Follow established guidelines, processes and procedures. Perform special projects as requested from supervisors. Comply with all Company policies. LEGAL AND/OR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Has access to employee banking information through direct deposit processing; has access to customer credit card information through credit card processing. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience with processing multi-state payrolls; or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a beginners skill level with PSI, TreeTab, PLD Access Database, Employee Maintenance/HRIS,and Microsoft Outlook. The individual should demonstrate an intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet browsing Minimum Education Required: Associate Years of Experience Required: At Least 3 Years Expected Travel Time: None Keywords: Human Resources
