Web User Interface Designer / User Experience Designer
LOCATION: ON SITE Charlotte, NC or Austin, TX preferred. Remote can be considered ONLY if the candidate is 100% on target. TITLE: Implementation Consultant Position Responsibilities: 1. Work with business partner to define reporting requirements. Communication is key. Continue to work with business as needed throughout lifecycle. (Requirements gathering skills) 2. Map reporting requirements to technical specifications (Independent work) 3. Determine and document business rules (that map to tags and tag parameters) to meet the technical specifications (Independent and/or implementation team work) 4. Provide support to developers on implementation of tags, libraries, link tracking, etc. Continue to work with developers as needed throughout lifecycle. (Independent and partnership work) 5. Test Coremetrics data capture functions including tags, library changes, link tracking, forms, etc. Work with developer on necessary changes. Testing occurs in multiple phases: development, component, systems, UAT and post-launch. (Independent work) 6. Library maintenance and updates: Be able to identify issues that call for library changes; be able to make and test library changes. (Independent work) 7. Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation. (Independent and implementation team work) 8. Research requests from support.coremetrics.com (for BAC) that may be related to tagging/libraries. (Independent work) Absolutely required technical skills: 1. Moderate-level HTML/XHTML/CSS skills in order to be able to read to code 2. Moderate-level Javascript skills skills in order to be able to read to code 3. In depth understanding of internet architecture (HTTP, FTP, SSL, Cookies) 4. Basic knowledge/understanding of content management systems. 5. Basic understanding of enterprise IT systems (load balancing, servers, server environments) 6. Ability to design and execute test plans (for library updates and testing projects) 7. Microsoft Office, with above-average Excel skills 8. Strong documentation skills Nice-to-have technical skills: 1. Basic networking (TCP/IP, Firewalls) 2. Server-side programming languages (PHP, Perl, .NET, J2EE) 3. Basic SQL querying 4. Basic familiarity with databases/reporting requirements. 5. Experience working with eCommerce/eChannels Internet projects. Behavioral skills 1. Flexible motivation – candidate demonstrates palatability for a wide-variety of tasks, both interesting and not interesting. This means that the source of motivation is not always the work itself, but more often than not it will be. 2. Interpersonal sensitivity – candidate understands how others will perceive their actions and makes decisions based upon that understanding. 3. Systemization – candidate naturally perceives the universe as a collection of interconnected “systems”, or logical process flows with defined inputs and outputs. 4. Objectivity – the ability to keep emotions from interfering with logical thought processes. 5. Adaptability/flexibility – candidate can adapt to frequent schedule changes, project scope and timetable changes and similar things. Candidate is willing to occasionally work outside normal working hours to get the job done. 6. Enthusiasm/passion -- candidate is enthusiastic about, has a passion for, work—especially for Internet development work. Candidate conveys that enthusiasm to others.
