HR Adviser (Projects)
HR Adviser (Projects) Temporary post (until 31st March 2014) £29,236 - £33,661 per annum (Grade 5) Following the approval for a joint Control Centre for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, now to be called Thames Valley Fire Control Service (TVFCS), we need an HR Adviser to support the implementation of this and other organisational projects. The role will be the point of contact providing advice and guidance on all HR matters. This will include consultation meetings, placement and selection processes. Duties will also include: • Reviewing current policy, processes and practices to enable due diligence work to be completed whilst ensuring compliance with data protection legislation. • Research and write communications to assist the TVFCS project and Control staff as directed by the Head of Human Resources. • Assist the HR department by providing advice and guidance on discipline, employee complaints and performance management issues. • Support the Control room and Station Manager Control by assisting with recruitment and promotion activities, including assessment development centres and interviews as necessary. You will have CIPD chartered membership and proven HR experience with a sound understanding of employment legislation, especially TUPE. You will have the ability to influence people at all levels, produce reports and write policies.
