Senior Oracle RAC DBA Description: Install and support 11gR2 RAC configuration Provide support on all the stages of database implementation and/or database related deployments Participate in project meetings, as necessary, to understand application and database requirements Ability to work independently and to resolve complex Oracle issues Run diagnostic tools to identify database performance bottlenecks, and take appropriate corrective actions to improve database performance. Work with development teams to tune SQL queries. Oracle Database Tuning and Performance - usage of statspack, AWR, ADDM, ASH and UNIX native commands Proactive monitoring of the databases Manage backup/recovery for Oracle instances Management of database and resource capacity planning. Oracle DataGuard Physical Standby configuration, build and support Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control for environment standardization A demonstrable commitment to a professional career in database management Outstanding college-level oral and written communications skills Requirements: At least 5 years of experience supporting a large production RAC installation with solid understanding of ASM Must have installed, upgraded and managed a 11g RAC system. 11gR2 experience a big plus. Only strong Linux and Unix skills will be considered Oracle Certified Professional OCP (any release) Must have strong Data Guard experience. GoldenGate a big plus Must have experience in 11g performance and tuning Good scripting language (ksh, perl)
