Job Title : Sr. Oracle DBA. Location : Corning,NY. Duration : 6+ Months Contract. Sure Shot Placement. Rate:$50/hr on CTC. Scope of Position: Technical leader and expert in operational support using the Oracle DB environment LONG TERM* Degree Required Responsibilities: Design and build robust, scalable, fault tolerant Oracle database environments for high availability. Installation, configuration, and upgrade of Oracle server software and related products Migration of Oracle Databases from Windows to Linux Perform database tuning and performance monitoring Perform daily database maintenance tasks Work as part of a team, and provide 24x7 support when required Perform general technical trouble shooting Work closely with developers, refreshing test environments, migrating changes to production Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support assistance Patch management Participate in quarterly outages, patching servers Participate in year-end shutdown activities, patching and rebuilding databases Manage capacity plans for Oracle database environments.
