The Communications Specialist provides project-related support to Foundation staff, working in collaboration with the Communications Team. The responsibilities in this position will be designing and developing informational materials using print as well as Web media. Responsibilities: Review and edit customized human resources communication materials for targeted audiences using appropriate media utilizing MS Word, PowerPoint, and as appropriate, HTML and software for on-line media Implement communication strategies and work-plans by editing and proofreading documents Apply and implement applicable knowledge obtained through experience and research Collaborate with technical and operational Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate technical and operational data into effective, impactful, and tailored communication products Manage and complete multiple assignments in short time frames and coordinate diverse projects and activities into a cohesive and strategic program for a single client or a program Coordinate the deliverables of other communicators in the organization to ensure that special projects are on track with planned timelines Required Skills / Experience: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master complex technical and mission-focused concepts and communicate them to various audiences unfamiliar with the subject Must have solid knowledge of communication and change management consulting methodologies as well as the measurement of solutions Solid knowledge of interactive media and web based communication applications Strong writing and analytical skills Proficient multi-tasker in fast-paced and constantly evolving environment Demonstrated attention to detail Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Publisher and Adobe Acrobat Pro
