Receiving/Shipping Technician TEMP TO HIRE Job Summary: · Their chief responsibility is to ensu r e that the receiving/ warehousing/ shipping process is carried out according to the goals set by the logistics supervisor . · Work safely and efficiently to complete all tasks r elated to s uccessfully receive, store , and ship a ll four finished goods products, raw materials, and components. · Effectively communicate productivity, necessary maintenance items, and safety issues to logistics supervisor. · Maintain customer service levels outlined by sales force General Responsibilities: Safety : Understand and practice all plant safety rules and guidelines. · Make sure all plant safety guidelines, procedures and policies are followed · Reinforce safety practices on a daily basis · Ensure appropriate PPE is used to perform their jobs safely and effectively · Notify the logistics supervisor , l ogistics director , and EHS manager in the event of a safety incident · Participate in incident i nvestigations as necessary Receiving /Warehousing responsibilities : Responsible for assisting the process of receiving /warehousing of Sevoflurane, Isoflurane, Enflurane , Desflurane , raw materials and components. · E n gage in daily receiving /warehousing /shipping oper ations and communicate problems, (i.e. material shortages, equipment malfunctions, et c.) such that l oss of receiving/warehousing capacity i s minimized and receiving/warehousing objectives are achieved. · Notify logistics supervisor of mainte nance work on equipment needing to be done · Ensure operating supplies and m aterials required for receiving/warehousing are obtained. · Responsible for ensuring safety, environmental, quality and materials management pr ocedures are followed on a daily basis · Ensure receiving/warehousing /shipping goals and objectives are met on a daily basis. · Practice proper inventory control procedures at all times · Assist with material transfers between multiple warehouses · Perform receiving/warehouse responsibilities at other offsite warehouses · Participate in daily sta rt up briefs and post shipping/receiving /warehousing debriefs · Pick and pack all domestic and ROW orders according to daily shipping schedule Housekeeping : Responsible to see that plant housekeeping practices are followed · Reinforce housekeeping practices (cGMP) on a daily basis · Ensure a co mplete housekeeping is done at the end of every shift · Organize and maintain the rear yard · Coordinate warehouse housekeeping efforts for all internal/external audits Recordke eping: · Ensure accurate receiving/warehousing records ar e kept on a daily basis · Ensure FIFO for all components and finished goods Other Duties: · Conduct other tasks as required. Requirements: · A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment. · A bility to work with minimal supervision · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills · Ability and willingness to work required over time · Positive attitude with a strong desire for continuous learning. · Good troubleshooting skills · Punctuality and good attendance · Current forklift certification and valid driver's license required · Clean driving record · Hazmat certification (IATA, DOT) · Basic computer skills( word processing , data entry ) · Minimum education required is a high school diploma or GED. · M ust pass criminal background check and drug screen prior to hire 1 | Page
