Kforce is seeking a Senior Systems Consultant for a 4-6 month contract with a Culver City, California client. This Consultant will reports to the IT Director. Job Description: This position will assist the IT Department in providing excellent customer service to our end-users This position will be responsible for ensuring that all desktops, servers, and network equipment are operating optimally according to our client's standards The expected job function of this position will be as follows: Installation, configuration, and support of enterprise LAN and WAN systems involving Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade equipment Installation, configuration, and support of enterprise servers involving Windows, Linux, and Apple platforms in a clustered and non-clustered environment Configuration and support of Active Directory Participate and provide input on design of hardware and software standards Create and maintain detailed and accurate documentation on all systems, designs, and changes Tier-3 support to our desktop support personnel Provide end-user training on software and equipment usage Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor Must have flexibility to work over-time and weekends to provide coverage in a mission-critical 24 / 7 / 365 environment The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Minimum 5-years of experience designing, configuring, and supporting a medium to large multi-site network in the following: Microsoft technologies (Windows 2003 / 2008, Exchange 2007 / 2010, SharePoint, Windows Clustering, Terminal Services Clustering and Active Directory) Hypervisor technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) in a high-availability mode Linux (CentOS especially) DNS and DHCP Storage equipment (EMC, Isilon, etc.) and technologies (FC, NAS, and SAN) Cisco and/or Brocade equipment Design, configuration, and support of complex layer-3 networks The following experience is preferred: High-speed file transfer systems (Aspera, Signiant, etc.) Mac OS X Telecom protocols (TDM and VoIP) and equipment (Avaya) BGP protocol configuration and support Experience in the media and entertainment industry
