We are seeking a System Admin/Programmer for our Direct Client. Location: Los Angeles, CA Duration: 6 Months+ The ideal candidate must be able to troubleshoot and maintain computer software and hardware in a very fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment. This position requires experience with TCP/IP networking DNS, DHCP, NTP, Apache, MySql, PHP, Sybase experience, shell scripting, and programming. Working knowledge of NFS, RAID management, Samba and disk imaging technology. Qualifications: BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field. Linux, Solaris certifications desired. Understand network topology and configuration on servers. Assist in the planning, design, documentation, installation, and check-out of new servers and OSes. Deploy software/hardware/servers to production environment. Install and maintain MySql, Apache, Sybase. Programming experience in C++, C or Java. Scripting (shell, Perl, etc…), familiarity with SQL is a plus. User support. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Additional Requirements: Good analytical skills, detail oriented, quick study, and self-motivated. Able to work independently with effective time management in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Ability to multitask within an environment of rapidly changing priorities. Proactively solve problems and work effectively in a team environment. Experience with analysis and support of production/live systems a plus.
