Our client is currently looking for an RNC/ BSC Planning and Design Engineer for a 3 month rolling contract. The RNC/ BSC Planner and Designer would be responsible for producing new architectural and connectivity designs in support of the introduction of new equipment types and configurations into the Mobile Access Fixed Network (BSC and RNC layer) as required. Specifically produce BSC and RNC designs in support of the introduction of RAN sharing in the UK, using Ericsson and NSN RAN equipment. The technical skills required are listed below: * A good understanding of mobile networks, particularly at the BSC and RNC layer * Recent relevant industry experience - at least 2 years in the last 5 spent working in a relevant / related field * An understanding of NSN BSC and RNC products and Ericsson RNC products - in particular the key parameters which affect capacity and the key parameters to be specified at the planning / rollout stage * Ideally previous experience of 2G and 3G RAN planning on BSC's and RNC's and associated equipment * If you have the above skills and are interested in joining a fast paced and exciting Telecoms company then apply here!
