Systems Administrator - Debian/Red Hat Linux, Windows Server and Solaris My client who is a leading innovator in it's field require an experienced Systems Administrator with Debian distribution and practical knowledge of at least one scripting technology, preferably Shell or Perl to join their exisiting team for 3 month rolling contract. Key Responsibilities * Build and support of Debian/Red Hat Linux, Windows Server and Solaris systems; * Ensuring systems are deployed in carrier grade highly available/fault tolerant configurations * Designing automated build systems to quickly respond to business requirements; * Managing VMWare vSphere 5 virtualisation and EqualLogic SAN storage environments; * OpenLDAP/Active Directory and Bind DNS administration; * Supporting a suite of internal tools including Atlassian Jira/Confluence and the cloud-based SalesForce platform * System hardening/security, working with our security team to ISO27000 and PCI-DSS standards * Work alongside Agile/Scrum teams and leverage automation tools to deliver projects; * Set a high standard for documentation of systems and software Core Skills * Ability to work as part of a wider team; * Self-motivated; * Capable of working independently and pro-actively; * Capable of working to both tactical and strategic timescales; * Good communicator; * Pro-actively reporting on status and tasks; * Constantly looks for opportunities to improve systems and processes.
