This is a requirement for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure team on a contract basis for 6 months in London. Candidates must have very strong project based IT infrastructure skills and experience and be capable of working independently and as part of a team to set deadlines and deliverables. The resource will be primarily focused on the Storage and Server Infrastructure Upgrade project and must have strong skills and experience implementing storage and VMware solutions. Essential Experience: * Minimum 6 years experience in an IT Infrastructure Engineer Technical architect role * Strong Experience in designing / implementing SAN solutions * Excellent proven VMware design, implementation and configuration skills - VCP required * vSphere upgrade skills * Enterprise backup solution design experience * Strong Microsoft Windows 2003 / 2008 all round skills - MCSE or equivalent required * Strong Microsoft Active Directory skills * Excellent VMware vSphere knowledge and experience (VCP or similar experience required) * Cisco networking knowledge (CCNA desirable) * Excellent datacenter hardware knowledge * Enterprise alerting , monitoring and management (SCOM, Solarwinds or similar) * Excellent IT security skills and understanding * Excellent general all round IT skills * Excellent troubleshooting skills * Proven design documentation skills * Experience working within a business critical organisation * Excellent time management and project management skills (PRINCE certification desirable) * Must have proven experience working with ITIL focussed organisation (ITIL foundation beneficial) * Proven history of working on infrastructure projects Beneficial Experience: * Backup solution design (Netbackup/CommVault) * Microsoft Exchange 2010 * Email archiving solutions The candidate will be primarily responsible for: * Working on project and RFC work Qualifications required: * Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience MCIPT or equivalent experience * VCP or equivalent experience * CCNA or equivalent experience To apply please send your CV to tara_sudama@spring.comSpring Technology is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
