This project is similar to where we bring individuals that want to rent items, ie: (bikes, cars, boats, kayaks, jet skis, margarita machines, etc.) with people that own said items and are willing to rent them. For instance, this website hosts an environment that enables people to browse specific areas and see what is for rent in that area OR they can browse by specific item like "boat." For instance, in the real world if I am going on vacation with my family to Lake Tahoe and I want to rent a boat from the neighborhood marina for a half day, it can cost upwards of $500. With PhoRent.com I can find an individual who owns a similar boat that is willing to rent it out for $200 or $150 for half a day. If I am want to rent some nice mountain bikes for the day, I can look them up on PhoRent.com and see if anyone is renting them. Much like Craigslist, you can search by "individual" or "business" so if you search for an item by individual and there are no listings, you can always go the traditional way and go through the bike rental store or boat rental company that is listed by "business." There will be a Front End, where individuals can search and get very granular as far as criteria and there will be a back end where you "list" your item for rent. Lastly, there has to be a managment tab or "Dashboard" that allows for checks & balances like flagging ads, etc. Within the matches displayed section there will be reviews and BOOK NOW clickable actions as well as "Ask the renter a question" tab, etc. I am looking for someone that is extremely knowledgeable with creating not only the database and search functionality, but the aesthetics of the site. This site needs to be: 1) Scalable 2) More or less a functioning prototype 3) Aesthetics and uniqueness are important 4) Nees to be a finished and working site when completed.
