Job Description: Provide 24x7 on-call support for the server based applications and data operations. Troubleshoot and resolve system and processing issues. Escalate issues properly. Plan and manage installations of new application related files and executable modules. Plan and manage system upgrades. Participate in development of new data and operational support projects. Organize, document and report to manager on all projects. Collaborate successfully within the team and remote groups including internal partners, vendors and clients. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skills Required: Min 3 years experience in support/operations role required. Excellent oral and written English skills required. Strong troubleshooting skills required. 3 years Linux/AIX administration skills required. 3 years Shell scripting skills especially using sh, csh, ksh, HTML and Perl required. Knowledge of Networking and IP configuration required. This position requires a SSA/Gov’t background check ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skills Preferred but Not Required: 2 years Windows Server 2007/2003/2000 administration skills desired. Business communication, organizational and leadership skills desired. Programming skills/experience a plus. Experience interfacing servers with IBM mainframe environment a plus. Experience creating, supporting and maintaining relational DB a plus. Bachelor’s Degree a plus. Substantial significant experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree is acceptable.
