WebSphere Commerce Administrator New York City, NY We are seeking a WebSphere Commerce Administrator for a client in NYC. This candidate must be proficient in: 3 years’ experience managing WebSphere Commerce Server (WCS) on AIX or Linux in a production eCommerce retail environment. AIX preferred. DB2 UDB back-end database configuration support preferred. 5 years’ experience managing WebSphere Application Server (WAS) on AIX or Linux in a production data center environment. AIX preferred. 3 years’ experience managing RedHat JBOSS in a production data center environment highly desirable. 7 years’ experience on AIX or similar UNIX. Linux experience highly desirable as well. Strong experience with security administration, server performance monitoring and tuning. Strong experience with configuring middleware systems (WAS, JBOSS) in a highly available and resilient configuration. Demonstrable knowledge of UNIX operating system basics (disk, cpu, io subsystems) Demonstrable knowledge of IBM hardware, specifically pSeries, xSeries and BladeCenters desirable. Experience with Sun Java Directory Server > v5.3 or RedHat Directory Server desirable. Unix Shell scripting experience is a must (bash, ksh, or perl) Strong troubleshooting skills Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people Must be able to work some overtime and provide after-hours support as needed.
