SAP EDI Support Analyst
We are currently working with our direct end client in St. Paul, MN who is looking for a contract to hire EDI Support Analyst . The Run SAP Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Support Analyst will provide Operational and functional support for critical SAP business transactions with internal clients and/or external trading partners/Local Country subject matter experts (SME*s) and Next Generation Gateway (NGG) technical teams in support of the SAP production ecosystem. This position will help ensure the integrity and accuracy of inbound and outbound data and provide a key level of support for external interfaces (e.g. banking, order and invoicing process, etc.). In addition, the EDI Support Analyst will understand business requirements for the set-up of new EDI trading partners. Responsibilities: * Coordinate and/or configure and test EDI trading partner set-ups * Facilitate and coordinate Partner set-ups and changes which includes organizing Business Contacts, Software Developers, and Partner representatives * Provide users with functional knowledge expertise of NGG/SAP business processes to guide them through related transactions o Utilize knowledge management repository to resolve issues o Guide callers to self-service knowledge management assets to resolve their issue * Act as liaison between End-user, SAP Technical Support, NGG Technical Support and Business Support to resolve issues around inbound and outbound Transactions * Provide troubleshooting support for SAP/NGG Integration issues (i.e. determine root cause of failures/issues) and inquiries * Escalate incidents, as necessary, to the appropriate team while actively retaining ownership of the incident on behalf of the users. Notify users of resolution. * Facilitate interactions and escalations with appropriate SAP Support, External Partners/local country SME*s and Global IT teams * Recommend operational continuous improvement opportunities, service efficiency initiatives, and business process improvement to better serve business needs * Maintain appropriate EDI/NGG documentation * Participate as needed on Super User Community of Practice calls and provide updates with EDI changes or issues * Accountable for end to end resolution of incidents; track and monitor incidents through lifecycle * Use troubleshooting tools and utilities (i.e. Simon-TV, Remedy) to support identification and delivery of incident resolution * Participate in major incident calls to assist with the troubleshooting and resolution of critical incidents * Accountable for completion of all communication activities back to the business * Meet or exceed established SAP and NGG Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Required Qualifications: * Bachelor*s Degree * Minimum of 3-5 years of business experience * 3-5 years of Application Development and/or Support * 1-3 years experience working with EDI and IDOCs * Must be able to work non-traditional hours as needed Preferred Qualifications: * 1-3 years experience with Sterling software * ABAP coding experience a plus * Systems Integration knowledge with SAP is a plus * Experience working with BMC Remedy * Deep working experience in implementing and supporting applicable technologies * Strong customer relationship skills * Effectively participate in virtual team, global distributed teams * Comfortable with ambiguity and troubleshooting complex issues * Possess active inquiry skills and strong written/verbal communication skills * Knowledge and understanding of the SAP business processes and core modules * Ability to communicate effectively, internally and externally, to all levels of management Thank you, Barb Connelly Manager, Consulting Services York Solutio
