User Interface Developer
User interface developer required to work for this leading digital agency based in Central London for an initial six week contract. The user interface developer will be responsible for the UI development of template and component-based user interfaces utilising multiple technologies and, working with the Adobe Day Communiqu� CQ5.2+ product as a Content Management System. The user interface developer will have expert level JavaScript in particular, and UI development skills. The successful user interface developer will also have: � At least 4+ years experience hand-coding XHTML 1.0 Strict/Transitional with CSS 2.0 � Expert level knowledge of the MooTools 1.2+ JavaScript library and/or jQuery / jQuery Mobile v1.0+ JavaScript library o Must have OO development experience, either with extending/implementing against native objects, or with creating Class based reusable objects � Excellent knowledge of Ajax (XHR), JSON(P) and the progressive enhancement principles required for the usage of these o XHR approaches using HTTP Requests to URI controllers (e.g. JSPs) o JSON data interchange approaches using HTTP Requests to URI resources (RESTful style) � Expertise developing and testing across multiple browsers and platforms o WinXP SP2/3: IE6, IE7, IE8 o WinXP SP2/3 & Mac OSX 10.5+: Firefox 4+ o Windows 7: IE9 o Mac OSX 10.5+: Safari 3+ o Mobile web platform experience: Apple iOS, Android � Basic Photoshop skills, you should be to create sprite sheets and assets from PSD files. Middleware � Good knowledge of commercial, enterprise level open-source Java based CMSs. Examples include o Adobe Day Communiqu� CQ5 o OpenCms o Liferay � Experience with JSP, JSTL or other Java based tag libraries � Ability to work with JSP Scriptlet code, separating business and controller logic from UI markup
