Recruiting for INTERIM LOGISTICS PROCUREMENT Senior Buyer/Category Manger - LeadingUKRetail Organisation Role: Interim Logistics Supply Chain Manager (3PL & Shipping) Location:Somerset Day Rate: Max £600/day Duration: 3 - 6 Months 1st-Executive are currently recruiting on behalf of a leadingUK retail organization with revenues in excess of £1bn for the position of an Interim Senior Buyer/Category Manager - Logistics. Working for a global business with operations in the Far East and theUS along with theUK, the successful applicant will have a deep knowledge of 3PL and 4PL logistics providers and contracts. The successful applicant will be required to manage a large portfolio of suppliers. Coming from a blue-chip background and ideally holding a degree and MCIPS qualification you will have experience in the creation of strategy around factory and distribution networks and preferably some knowledge or experience in packaging. This role requires an individual with a deep knowledge of both the logistics market globally as well as impeccable strategic sourcing skills - the role will encompass end to end category management as well as SRM activities. Requirements/criteria: Purchasing/Supply Chain professional, extensive experience of logistics category including 3 and 4PL providers Degree calibre, holds MCIPS or similar Operated with a least a regional remit - this role is global Candidates need to have dealt with spends of £10m+ True strategic sourcing professional - category management experience preferred Experience of manufacturing/factory or site based and distribution networks procurement beneficial Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills required
