Accounting Manager Responsibilities: Oversees month-end close, accounting activities, and coordinates year-end audit. Provides guidance and oversight to staff regarding legal and tax compliance Develops, implements and maintains accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely statements that are in alignment with the corporate vision and GAAP accounting principles Continually monitors process, systems and workflow for improvement. Makes recommendations for change to management and implements plan Monitors accounts receivable and payable and ensures that accounting and finance policies, procedures and controls are adhered to and are in alignment with corporate policy Plans, organizes and directs timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for management and other external constituencies Assist with preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. May be asked to help in the preparation of financial analysis for special projects Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy Accounting Manager Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 3-5 years experience in accounting/ general ledger area leadership with a growing company with 2-3 years of public accounting experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other executive level managers Demonstrates an understanding of the full range of modern principles of accounting and administration, including accounting theory and GAAP rules and regulations Ability to multi task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines required Proven ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive reports, carry out assigned projects to their completion, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management Demonstrated skill in researching complex accounting issues and developing recommendations
