This Support Manager will be the first point of contact to support a designated business group with responsibility for one or more of the following: Root cause analysis Change management Incident management (coaching, documentation, QA, training / certification, oversight of incident Ops, governance, tools, process, and crisis management), problem management, service improvement, internal / external customer file transmission design, discovery / gathering / documenting of business needs and requirements and business communication This role should include as its primary duty either: The exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance Design work (design means a tailored design in order to meet a specific client request) or Programming (programming means writing original programs using computer code that is intended for use on a wide scale basis) This position should typically be used for an advanced or lead level resource Technical Skill Sets: Apache experience WebLogic experience In-depth and hands-on knowledge of all aspects of WebLogic 10.3.3 and 7.0 In-depth and hands-on knowledge of Apache Web Software version 2.2 Familiarity with ETL technology and related toolsets Familiarity with Oracle Database version 10g and 11g Must be able to understand the database schema At least 5 years of Web / Middleware and Database support in a Large Enterprise Significant programming, scripting, and automation skills are a major plus Programming and scripting languages would include VB, VBScript, Perl (critical), JScript, VBScript, and Windows Scheduler In-depth understanding of the Windows 2003, Red Hat, 5.4, and Solarix 9.x platforms A Degree in Computer Science or a related field will be a plus Non-Technical Requirements: Ability to work over-time hours as needed to support ongoing BAU and project work Ability to be in a rotational on-call Ability to work in a team setting where team members are dispersed geographically
