Job Description **This is a 18mth Fixed Term Contract*** To provide support to the Sudan Programme Management Team in the provision of financial information and ownership of general processes and information relevant to the role, programme team and wider IFA team. A willingness to travel to Sudan is essential. * Preparation / ownership of management accounting reporting including variance analysis for relevant business areas; including the tracking and calculation of relevant KPIs. * Provide the Sudan and wider IFA team with a single point of contact for the Sudan Programme's finance issues in the first instance; either directly or through other members of the team. * Ensure compliance with relevant Atos processes and accounting standards, challenging team members to ensure that the balance sheet is kept clean; * Assist and co-ordinate revenue/cost forecasting as appropriate; * Assist with Budget forecast and input and resulting analysis; actual reporting, P&L management, and balance sheet. * Revenue and Cost Accounting, full CO P and L ownership * Ability to report and explain the programme's monthly performance; * Provide ad-hoc analysis related to the Sudan programme as needed * Provide the business with training and guidance in both financial issues and training; * Support Finance team and Delivery Excellence team in implementing account wide initiatives e.g. budgets, roll out of policies; * Completion of Audit schedules and participate in the audit as required; * Ensure system of controls are functioning adequately & implement new controls where appropriate; * Review work of any subordinates, and possible ownership of their development * Identifies areas for improvement Job Requirements * Commercial awareness and cost focus; * PMO understanding * Able to challenge new business proposals and ability to build creative proposals as needed; * Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels both formally and informally; ** Business Partnering experience at all levels; * An understanding of commercial issues and framework of accounts; * Experience of project accounting environment and revenue recognition policies * Ability to meet demanding deadlines; * Adaptable to change; * Good working knowledge of the UK business model; * Finalist / Qualified Accountant / Qualified by experience;
