Construction Skills Tutor - Huddersfield Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Skills Tutor to join their well established team based in the Huddersfield area of West Yorkshire. Your duties will include: - To ensure learners achieve key construction skills, as recognised by awarding bodies, through the delivery of high quality training. - To be responsible for the preparation of training programmes and ensuring the learner portfolio's and evidence meets the awarding body requirements. - To assist in the effective and efficient running of the training centre. Experience/ Person Specification: - Extensive relevant experience (post qualification) in construction. We require experience of a range of construction skills including joinery and carpentry, bricklaying or other construction trades. - Level 3 City and Guilds Advanced Craft in a construction trade (or equivalent). - Good knowledge of Awarding Body standards and requirements. - Experience of working with and meeting the requirements of awarding bodies. - Work in partnership with groups of customers to understand their views and needs. Offers suggestions to improve customer services and/or address particular customer issues e.g. by evaluating complaints. - Constructs communications to address different audiences' perspective - Considers and uses range of options to tackle poor performance, with limited support. - Encourages creative and cost-effective approaches to development Please note a CRB will be required for this role.
