Job Description PMO Operations Manager Basking Ridge, NJ Job Title : PMO Operations Manager Location : Basking Ridge – NJ Duration : 12+ Months with possibility of extension Job Responsibilities: PMO Operations Manager As the operations manager your main responsibilities will be the support of PMO program and project managers by providing application support (SharePoint, Excel, and Clarity), process training, job aid creation, as well as dashboard and report development. This role will also support organizational initiatives to improve benefit realization for Client, drive business improvements, and recommend and implement process improvements. The PMO Operations Manager will provide oversight and technical assistance for the PMO and Marketing organization. This role has both a technical component as well as a process support component. Your duties will include: Support the creation and development of SharePoint sites. Analyze project and program metrics, create reports and/or dashboards. Develop automated Excel spread sheets to pull data, calculate KPIs and develop reports. Develop and manage dashboards and portlets within Clarity PPM tool. Develop strategies for change management and lead change efforts across the organization. Lead and participates in projects to standardize policies, procedures and processes across programs and operational units. Consolidation of dashboard reports for executive review. Support program and project managers on technical issues (SharePoint, Clarity, Accolade) and process related questions/issues. Project and Program Management Processes, Tools and Templates: Management and testing of project/program management deliverable templates. Management of customizations and methodologies for project/program management tools. Participate in activities to enhance project delivery processes, tools and templates to achieve KPIs and improve organizational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred IT or equivalent experience in a technical role requiring Clarity PPM tool, Excel, SQL & Sharepoint support Minimum of Five (5) years supervisory and/or project management experience Demonstrated track record of accomplishments Expert level knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Experience in SharePoint and Clarity support Strong knowledge of Project and Program Management Institute processes Excellent organization and time management skills Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible Superior quantitative and analytical skills, ability to work in the details Strong communication and facilitation skills Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: Ability to gather, analyze and organize complex data, arrive at reasonable and carefully substantiated conclusions, and to present such data effectively orally and in writing. Broad knowledge of business process techniques, models and tools (without a rigid commitment to a single approach) and the ability and willingness to apply them in a strategic and flexible manner. Strong leadership skills and the ability to function in a matrix-style organization with a strong action-oriented and collaborative culture. Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts on program development and problem solving activities Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with business partners, clients prospects, subcontractors, and consultants.
