Sr. Systems / Exchange Administrator
We are seeking a Sr. Systems / Exchange Administrator, to join our growing IT Department at our Corporate Office in Calabasas, CA As an Information Technology professional you may be required to perform duties that include elevated privileges. As a trusted custodian to the Company’s sensitive information and/or systems you will be expected to maintain professional conduct and protect the confidentiality of any information to which you may have access. You will be expected to commit yourself to the highest standards of moral and business ethics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Support a multi-site Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 organization in order to meet and maintain appropriate service levels · Implement/Support a Microsoft Exchange 2010 environment · Administer and support Active Directory, DNS & Microsoft Exchange · Responsible for planning, testing, tuning, configuration and setup of Microsoft Exchange architecture as well as supporting common email applications (Outlook, Entourage, ActiveSync, Blackberry based email) · Manage the appropriate setup of applications hosted via Microsoft Exchange or reliant upon Microsoft Exchange. This includes, but is not limited to Blackberry services · Maintain appropriate documentation on the Microsoft exchange environment · Provide a point of escalation and support to the Desktop Support Group · Provide 24/7 on-call support for the e-mail environment · Participate in weekend maintenance activities, as required · Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment · Monitor Windows 2003/2008 servers and troubleshoot problems · Support, maintain and administer third party applications · Produce appropriate documentation for application deployment, configuration, and related processes · Enforce change management and compliance processes · Work as a technical resource on assigned projects · Install and configure and maintain server operating systems and repair server hardware Help Manage network system backups and provide a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for E-mail services that take advantage of our global presence · Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing and response · Perform routine preventative maintenance on all hardware on a routine and scheduled basis · Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems · Position is expansive and additional responsibilities can be added Education and/or Experience: · Bachelor’s degree preferred · Must have a minimum of 5 years working experience and intimate proficiency with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 administration and troubleshooting in a large-scale multi-site environment · Must have a minimum of 5 years working experience and expert knowledge of Active Directory administration and troubleshooting Must have experience supporting mobile email devices such as Blackberry (and other, similar technologies) · Must have 3 years working experience supporting, maintaining and administering core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2003 and 2008 · Sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features · Sound working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP / IP · Sound working knowledge of remote access technology · Proficient and familiar with MS Office Professional Suite including the ability to fluently use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint · Working experience supporting, maintaining and administering Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 · Excellent customer service and telephone skills, and experience in a professional service environment, with responsibility for supporting multiple applications and network environments · Must have Good verbal and written communications skills · Must have very strong problem solving skills · Must have a minimum of 4 years of business experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or an equivalent combination in education and work experience Physical Requirements: General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to move about an office. Safety: The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
