Kids in Crisis, has an opportunity for a Temporary Special Events Manager, who will manage special events for an established, successful Fairfield County CT agency helping families and children in crisis. For over thirty years, Kids in Crisis has been providing free, round-the-clock crisis intervention, counseling and emergency shelter, prevention programs in local communities and advocacy throughout Connecticut. The Temporary Special Events Manager position will oversee and direct schedule of remaining 2012 special events, including annual golf tournament, major dinner dance, donor recognition events including Annual meeting and reception, and specialized events such as poker tournament and smaller retail/cause related events. Assignment begins immediately and is expected to last through 11/12. Specific job duties include assisting in the following areas: · Provide support to all fundraising initiatives under the direction of the Development director. · Assist with volunteer recruitment and supervision for special events. · Assist in strengthening and building relationships with donors, vendors, and sponsors. · Maintain integrity of Development database as well as analyze and generate reports. Qualified applicants will possess: BA/BS Degree. 3-5 years of related special events experience required. Ability to prioritize diverse workload to meet deadlines. Proficiency in word processing and database management (including RaisersEdge) a must. High attention to detail and strong commitment to customer service.
