Overview IT Applications Architect to be responsible for the technical portfolio of projects and technologies based on numerous IT applications across Global Enterprise Technology organization. Individual will contribute to a framework of technology principles, standards, practices, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives. The role will support the architectural life cycle including planning, requirements, design, review, and implementation. The role is a mix of Strategy and Project Execution. The strategy work for the role will be standards related and fits into the enterprise architecture vision and the design work will be project related but will need to fit into the enterprise architecture. Individual will be a member of the Global Enterprise Architecture team. Responsibilities: Strategy Collaborate with the SAP Architect and domain architecture stewards to define reference architectures, roadmaps and recommendations. Serve as advisor on key architectural issues that will have high impact on corporate technology, architecture and business solution demands. Provide input collection and documentation of information that describes the current state, reference baselines, and target architectures. Ensure the interoperability and standardization of technology solutions and their alignment with global business and technical vision. Understand business domain and business challenges to facilitate and influence business process re-engineering and improvement. Participate in the development and refinement of the on-going relationships with the technology and business application vendors in relation to the Solution Portfolio. Stay current with the evolution of the technology industry, development methodologies, and architectural frameworks in relation to overall technology vision. Maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices. Project Able to implement Hand-on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Work collaboratively with the other senior technical experts in IT to support projects and make technology decisions across portfolio solutions and implementations. This role will work with the project and business teams in analyzing the requirements, provide enterprise design solutions, and work with the development leads in creating frameworks, reuse components or proof of concepts (POC) as needed Design, review and approval of architecture designs for projects before implementation. The role sometimes is the principle architect and technical lead for a selected few projects. Skills Understand, Articulate, and Implement Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) vision and map typical business processes to Services with priority. 5+years of experience in the role of technical architect for technologies including JAVA architecture, Web applications, Portal applications, etc. Expertise in B2B, C2C Integration options, User Provisioning and Identity Management (IDM) scenarios. Good knowledge of broader Enterprise Architecture and IT strategy, functional areas, and business drivers. Knowledge or familiarity with technology platforms such as JAVA, SAP Netweaver, .NET, SQL Server, CISCO UCS, VM Ware, LDAP, Governance Risk and Management (GRC), Web application architecture, Mobile Enterprise Application framework (MEAP), HMTL5
