Position : Data Architecture Location : Dearborn, MI Duration : 5 Months possible to Extend Interview Type : In person Only Description : Data Architects produce Logical and Physical Data Models with corresponding Data Dictionaries (i.e., metadata) using the Corporate CASE Repository while following Guidelines, Standards, and Procedures. Data Architects maintain Data Models over the life of an Application. In addition, Data Architects review designs, launched applications, or packaged software solutions for adherence to information architecture strategies, standards, and best practices, often in preparation for design and architecture reviews at project, practice or enterprise levels. Experience Required: 8 years total Data Modeling experience with at least: o 4+ years Data Modeling showing expertise in Relational Analysis o 4+ years Data Modeling showing expertise in Dimensional Analysis 4+ Years in Data Warehouse Database Design 2+ years experience producing Data Models using Sybase Power Designer. Ability to facilitate design sessions with subject matter experts to define data requirements and resolve requirements issues. Extensive experience designing databases supporting complex business rules. Must be capable of successfully supporting multiple projects concurrently. Ability to work as a member of a team and with all levels of management. Outstanding speaking, listening, and reading communication skills. Excellent writing and presentation skills. Experience Preferred: Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge 10 years total Data Modeling experience with at least: o 5+ years data modeling demonstrating expertise in Relational Analysis o 5+ years Data Modeling showing expertise in Dimensional Analysis 5+ years in Data Warehouse Database Design 4+ years experience producing Data Models using Sybase Power Designer. 2+ years experience using data profiling tools (e.g., IBM Information Analyzer) Substantial Leadership experience with Large Data Architecture Teams. Technical Leadership with Large Data Warehouse Design and Build. Automotive industry experience is a plus. Object Oriented Analysis, Design, and OO Tool experience is a plus. J2EE design or development experience is a plus. Business Objects Reporting experience is a plus. ESSBASE / HYPERION experience is a plus.
