OVERVIEW: Installation of operating systems to specifications Administration and maintenance of systems through regular updates and patches Installation of additional software upon request Upgrade drivers upon request Remote access - configuration lab systems for remote access Backup / imaging of systems User technical support Inventory Hardware upgrades on pre-release and release equipment Troubleshooting Pulse New system setup KVM-over-IP switches Shipping Maintenance, updates, and add lab BKMs (Best Known Methods) as needed Troubleshooting hardware problems down to component to be replaced QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 years experience loading software and trouble-shooting / fixing hardware. Knowledge of how to load Microsoft OS software and software application packages for both desktop and server. Knowledge of current BIOS version and updating with the newest rev. Knowledge of how to load Linux OS software and related software application packages. Knowledge of networking basics such as KVM switches, network connections and IP addressing. Knowledge of Test base software and how to run test on specific software. Experience with software validation testing. Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2 administration.
