Kforce is seeking a C++ UNIX Developer for an Orangeburg, New York client that will design and code from specifications; analyze; evaluate; test, and debug documents and implement complex software applications. Functions Include: Use coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality Participate in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions Perform project management of estimating, scheduling, and monitoring tasks Perform expert-level engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of computer hardware, firmware, embedded systems, and/or Operating Systems Interface with different Departments within the organization regarding new deployments Research and analyze data processing functions, methods, and procedures Monitor program execution for expected performance The successful development applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in an area of specialty with at least 8-10 years of experience in the field or related area 8+ years of experience working with C++ and UNIX Strong knowledge and experience in Oracle Database programming, PL/SQL, AQ Queuing, Stored Procedures, and XMLDB
