TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a CNC Machinist for one of our clients in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Responsibilities: Utilize ISO compliant documentation and/or processes to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Selects, aligns, and secures specified holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, sanders, drill presses, computerized engraving machines, and riveting machines. Calculates and sets controls to regulate specified machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machines control media. Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or media as required. Verifies conformance of finished first article work piece to specifications and conducts subsequent inspection of work piece in accordance to the machine shop's statistical process control (SPC) inspection system. Handling of hazardous materials. Comply with all policies and procedures, including personal protective equipment use, housekeeping standards, and EHS training requirements. Pay rate range $15-17 depending on experience. First shift to start, person needs to be flexible and able to possibly switch to 2nd shift at some point. Position is slated for 2 months, could go possibly longer but they are unsure at this time.
