Description: ·          The position is organized under the Manufacturing Engineering Science and Technology Department. ·          As a Contract Manufacturing Engineer, the candidate will under general supervision perform various manufacturing engineering tasks as assigned. ·          Duties will include assisting all levels of engineers with their tasks and assignments necessary to manufacture medical products. ·          Skills should include being knowledgeable of standard manufacturing processes and practices. ·          The candidate will possess a practical knowledge of metallurgy. ·          The position will also need to utilize typical problem-solving capabilities and assist completing process of verification/validation efforts as needed. ·          Assist in providing floor support for all of Warsaw porous coatings. ·          Assist primary ME in completion of CAPA, Internal Audit, External Audit, & NC action completion. ·          Responsible for updating manufacturing processes, product routings, BOM’s and various other manufacturing specifications. ·          Responsible for working with shop floor associates to resolve processing issues. ·          Partner with members of the Quality department to improve inspection criteria and standards. ·          Partner with operations to identify and reduce scrap, rework, and non conforming product. ·          Identify opportunities for cost improvement projects and implement robust solutions. ·          Participating and completing tasks related to projects such as commissioning new vacuum furnace to increase capacity and upgrading to existing furnaces ·          Minimum of two years of technical school, military training, or equivalent OJT ·          Ability to use computer equipment and software, materials testing equipment, and equipment used for chemical and physical analysis. ·          Ability to apply familiarity with technical terminology to reports, abstracts and scientific publications. ·          Ability to work independently in Metallurgical and Microscopy Lab ·          Ability to utilize oral and written communication skills to present findings. ·          Six Sigma Lean or Black Belt Training ·          Certified Project Management qualifications     Please Note: Submit your resume through this posting.
