Project Manager
Departmental Overview The Corporate Real Estate and Services (CRES) department has a wide range of responsibilities which include: Formulating and implementing the Bank's occupational real estate strategy Developing and managing the Bank's electrical and mechanical infrastructure Delivering a wide range of business support services The Real Estate, Critical Engineering Systems and Corporate Security teams acquire, develop, design, construct, manage and secure the Bank's facilities around the globe, ensuring that Credit Suisse's businesses are able to operate 365 days a year without interruption. The Internal Services teams are responsible for providing cost-effective services such as corporate travel services, corporate events, corporate dining and catering services, archives and records management and media services. Functional Overview The CRES COO function is comprised of the following individual branches: Project and Performance Management Library and Information Systems Records and Information Management Multimedia Event Production Services The Project and Performance Management team is responsible for: Maintenance of the CRES-wide strategy Development of standardized project management processes Preparation of project definitions for CRES-wide projects Design, testing and deployment of CRES-wide projects Operational Excellence of CRES COO services and processes Management of the Global Real Estate Portfolio Database Oversight of departmental controls, including SOX and internal/external audit Travel and Expense tool change and support Role Description The role of the Project Management Contractor includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Delivery of a diverse range of projects to a high professional standard Monitoring and tracking of in-flight initiatives Coordination and communications across regions/departments Facilitation of status and management reporting Ad hoc presentation development Issues escalation and resolution Occasional overseas travel may be required. Required Education and Training The role of the Project Management Contractor requires the following education and training: Undergraduate degree at a minimum Project Management certification a plus Six Sigma certification a plus Strong MS Office, MS Project and MS Visio skills Required Experience The role of the Project Management Contractor requires the following experience: At least 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Project Manager delivering large-scale, global programs Must be able to both manage to a high degree of detail and report at a strategic level Excellent drafting, presentation and facilitation skills Ability to recognize and manage workstream dependencies Proven track record of problem-solving Strong interpersonal skills with experience working for a global, matrix structured institution and interacting with all levels of staff Demonstrated experience in successful change management initiatives Required Skill Set The role of the Project Management Contractor requires the following skill set: Responsive and persistent, fully accountable for all assigned tasks Resourceful and self-sufficient Able to work across the title spectrum (senior management and junior team members) and across regions Willing to adapt schedule to accommodate time zone differences and calendar conflicts Effective communication and presentation delivery skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize and practice good time management skills Team player, able to take on additional workload to meet strict deadlines Delivery of a diverse range of projects to a high professional standard.
