Kforce is seeking a Developer to engage in developing proof of concepts (POCs) for new programs and conduct peer code reviews. Handle customer business requirement elicitations independently. Develop high level functional and technical design specifications into design. Coordinate in resolving highly complex software development issues that arise in production environments. Understand the entire project context and demonstrate the knowledge of end-to-end application architecture. Utilize your awareness of hardware, operating systems software, application programs, or networks. This Developer will mentor and train technical associates. Drive the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concept and software development methodologies framework for structuring, planning, and controlling the process of developing an information system. Lead customer interaction on technical and contributes on proposal writing. Build solution design for support and maintenance work for moderate to complex service environment. Impact is on multiple areas, functions, or processes. Be responsible for multiple applications. Have 'Technical' ownership of an application from requirements analysis to the implementation and direction of the Team. Knowledge of development methodologies and related tool sets will also be of value. This is a Kforce opportunity with a Wellesley, Massachusetts client. 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience are required. Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of one or more technical discipline / application programming and analysis. Be an expert to analyze and develop solutions to highly complex problems and offer programming solutions at an advanced level. Be competent to work in all phases of applications programming. Possess and apply advanced understanding of the principles of applications programming. Thorough understanding of key business processes with ability to communicate and translate those needs to technical teams. Be an expert in troubleshooting and use advanced problem solving skills to resolve defects, incidents, and problems; assess design alternatives and perform trade-offs to determine designs or functionality that best meet customer needs; and in defining processes and chalking out implementation strategy. Possess advanced knowledge of programming patterns. Possess advanced knowledge of network and infrastructure architecture. Have an Undergraduate Degree and 6-8 years relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience. The Developer must possess strong Java development skills and be experienced in the full software production cycle from development to testing and deployment. The Developer must play a significant role in the expansion of our client's Continuous Integration / Release Engineering Infrastructure by acting as a liaison with project teams; helping them to bring their projects into compliance with policies and procedures. Be comfortable working as a team member and as an individual contributor, able to bring creative solutions to bear on complex problems. He or she will have an opportunity to make original contributions to a growing library of shared code and infrastructure components. Good communication and documentation skills are essential. Team leadership, training, and mentoring experience will be a plus.
