Fashion Designers, Students and Graduates Wanted for Fashion Show
"Don’t Dump, Design" Upcycling Challenge At the start of October Mary’s Living and Giving shop will host ‘Don’t Dump, Design’, a luxurious charity fashion event in Edinburgh. The focus of this exclusive evening will be to bring the local community together to raise money for Save the Children. Events are an integral element of Mary Portas’ Living and Giving philosophy as they are a powerful method of spreading Save the Children’s message and showcasing the passion and support of collaborators and donors. Designers are required to create one female high-quality outfit (dress/jacket/trouser suit etc) that is both wearable and edgy. It must be designed with the Autumn/Winter season in mind and have, at least, one recycled element. The event will be a great opportunity for fashion students, graduates and independent designers, allowing them to gain experience and showcase their work. All entrants should send a copy of their CV with a short covering statement (max 200 words) outlining why they would like to be involved. Please include photographs of your personal design work. All CVs, covering letters and photographs should be sent by Monday 20th August 2012 at 12pm. For full event information and design brief please do not hesitate to get in contact.
