Senior Functional QA Tester with Equity/Equities Experience
************************************************************************************************************* **************************************VERY URGENT*************************************************** ************************************************************************************************************* Job descriptions: The Equities QA team is responsible for all Equities testing activities on a new cross-product online trading application. Team members cover a variety of roles including test management and coordination, business analysis, test design and test execution. The Equities QA team utilise agile methodologies with testing occurring throughout the lifecycle, iteration by iteration with a strong emphasis on automated testing and short release cycles. The central Equities QA team is located in Stamford NY but integrate with teams in London. We are currently looking for a Senior QA Analyst to join the team in Stamford NY reporting into the Equities QA Manager to work in the Equities area. Your role will be the Senior QA working with a remote Equities development Scrum team for the client’s Platform. You must have strong technical test skills across; manual, automation and non-functional testing of an Enterprise Equities application. The ideal candidate has significant relevant experience to date demonstrating successful QA deliveries and has capabilities to work with Senior Business members. Testing, Analysis Would be expected to carry out all aspects of the test lifecycle. This includes: • Recent experience in testing Flex applications (client) and understanding of LCDS (server side). • Detailed manual testing of new functionality & regression testing of existing functionality. This includes Client, API and Server testing. Validation will be performed against the server and client logs, database, XML messages between the client / server as well as the front end application. • Using the logs, database etc., perform comprehensive analysis of any error to assist in working out the issue prior to recording in the defect tracking tool. • Compatibility / Usability testing of the online applications on multiple client desktop configurations (OS, browser, plug-ins and languages). • Working closely with developers to resolve issues and assist with Unit Testing, during development lifecycle. • Validate that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end client business process. • Working with our business partners to attach robust acceptance tests to every story. • Identifying test conditions from project documentation and developing test cases which provide full coverage. • Acquire knowledge transfer from Developers and Product Managers who are experts in the relevant functional domains. • Complex integration testing with multiple systems and teams around the globe. • Performance / Load testing of the online applications ensuring that it can cope with the expected user load and throughput. Maintaining detailed metrics on performance over time and ensuring no degradation in future releases. • Assist key business end-users in user acceptance testing • Automated testing throughout the lifecycle (unit testing, functional testing and performance testing). • Produce test reports and metrics which are geared towards their intended audience. Quality • Must have an excellent knowledge of the software quality lifecycle. • Maintaining testing standards and ensure that they adhered to, as well as proactively trying to add to these standards whenever possible. • Taking pride in the quality of software delivered for each iteration and release. Communication § Must be able to communicate effectively with other development team members, project members, managers and end users. § Must be able to participate in the discussions within the team, communicating any issues that have a project-wide scope to the necessary level § Must be able to build relationships and work closely with our QA colleagues around the globe § Must be able to participate in a culture of ‘knowledge sharing’ with the development team. § Sharing best practices with other QA teams.
